Il primo brano sintetizza perfettamente le caratteristiche del cd: grande impatto sonoro con la voce e gli strumenti ben collocati e definiti e una grande presenza ambientale che procura grande emotività. la voce tenorile si adatta perfettamente a cantare il versi di Petrarca, poeta che a fatto da paroliere, come si direbbe oggi, per più di 400 anni ai più grandi compositori.

Nel cd si susseguono brani strumentale e vocali, proponendo atmosfere sempre diverse, in cui anche gli strumenti si alternano come protagonisti.

Il liuto che sempre accompagna, nei brani solistici occupa il centro della scena, a circa 2/3 metri dall’ascoltatore, con una grande chiarezza nei particolari.

Il salterio, strumento percussivo a corde, si spande nella sala occupandola con le sue sonorità, ma rimanendo perfettamente intelligibile al centro della scena.

Il flauto di norma sulla destra, si staglia chiaramente anche nei brani con tutti gli strumenti e si distingue per la timbrica calda e chiara.

La viola da gamba accompagna molti brani e diffonde, sempre ben riconoscibile, il suo suono che nei registri alti “fa il verso” alla voce umana.

Le percussioni profonde e calde riempiono lo spazio con il loro colore scuro, pulsando al ritmo della melodia quasi come un cuore, mentre le nacchere sottolineano e accompagnano il liuto in uno dei brani solisti.

Il luogo di riprese propone un ambiente di grandi dimensioni, come le sale rinascimentali, riverberante ma capace di creare lo spazio intorno a gli esecutori. La versione DTS 5.1 CANALI offre quella marcia in più che solo la ricostruzione ambientale può dare, contribuendo in maniera determinante a ricreare l’emozione di un ascolto dal vivo.

The first piece perfectly synthesizes the characteristics of the cd: a great sonorous impact, with the voice and the instruments well defined and well situated and a great ambient presence which causes a strong volatility. A tenor voice perfectly adapts to the poetry of Petrarca, a poet, whose poetry was used by the greatest composers for more than 400 years.

On the cd there alternate vocal and instrumental works presenting always different atmospheres where the instruments alternate like protagonists.

The lute always accompanies the music, but here, in the stylistic pieces it occupies the centre of the scene, in about 2 or 3 meters from the listener with all details clear. The hammer dulcimer is a percussive string instrument. It expands occupying the room with its sonority but remaining perfectly localized in the centre of the scene.

The flute, as usually to the right, can be easily defined even in the pieces with all of the instruments and it owes clear and hot timber.

The viola da gamba accompanies many pieces and spreads its very recognizable sound that in high registers seems very much alike a human voice.

A warm and deep percussions fill up the room with its dark colors, pulsating to the rhythm of the melody almost like a heart while the castanets accompany and underline the flute in one of the soloist pieces.

The room where the recording took place is of big size, like the halls of the Renaissance, reverberant but able to create the space around the musicians. The DTS 5.1 CHANAL offers one more advantage than just an ambient reconstruction can give, contributing in determinant manner to recreate the emotion of the live music.
