Brevi note sulla registrazione

La Chiesa di S. Maria della Neve è una struttura recente, di medie dimensioni, con un riverbero importante dovuto alle pareti intonacate e alle vetrate poste vicino al soffitto.

L’organo, collocato in cantoria, occupa l’intera parete sopra la porta d’ingresso, favorendo la propagazione del messaggio musicale verso gli ascoltatori. I suoni prodotti da questo strumento, sono estremamente vari e assumono colorazioni uniche che ben si addicono all’esecuzione sia di musica antica che contemporanea.

Le sonorità sono caratterizzate da una gamma alta ben presente che risente delle pareti riverberanti, favorendo la sensazione di trovarsi a distanza dallo strumento. Le singole sfumature sonore sono sempre ben distinguibili nella grande amalgama del messaggio musicale, mentre l’ascolto del cd restituisce una grande ambienza, riproducendo sia le reali dimensioni dell’organo e la splendida timbrica. Con il DTS multicanale poi, si ricreano nella propria sala le dimensioni reali della struttura, con un aumento dei particolari sonori capaci di conferire tattilità al messaggio.

I brani scelti sollecitano l’organo in tutti i suoi registri mettendo in mostra le grandi qualità di questo strumento e riproponendo in casa nostra l’evento come il musicista lo ha creato. Il maestro Falcioni si trova completamente a suo agio sulla tastiera e più d’ogni parola serve ascoltarlo per comprenderne la grande abilità.

Brief notes on the recording

The church of S. Maria della Neve is a recent construction of average size. It owes its great echo back to plastered walls and stained glass windows situated near the ceiling.

The organ placed in the choir occupies the whole wall above the entrance and it helps to promote the music message towards the listeners. The sounds produced by this instrument are extremely different, they assume unique combinations and can be easily adapted to the performance both antique and modern music.

The sonority is characterized by high and well presented gamut affected by reverberant walls favouring the feeling as if you were at some distance from the instrument. A single sonorous undertones can be easily distinguished in the wide amalgam of music message while the listening of the Cd renders a great ambience reproducing both the real size of the organ and the splendid timbre. Using multi channel DTS one can easily recreate the real dimensions of the structure in his own room increasing the particular sonorities which are able to confer the tactility to the message.

The chosen pieces bring the organ into the open in all of its registers showing the great characteristics of this instrument and presenting the performance as the musician created it. Adriano Falcioni feels completely at ease with the keyboard and his great skill makes it worth one’s while to listen to him.
